Being from the Desert Southwest has afforded me the opportunity to experience nature from a perspective that many others don’t get to see. Amazing vistas, blue skis contrast against bold red rocks and tremendous sunsets, are a daily does of awesomeness there!
My temporary relocation to Northern Virginia has taken me away from all that I enjoyed day in and day out. Yet, despite missing these things, I’ve found whole new world to explore.
Most recently, my family and I met up with some old friends at the Shenandoah River State Park for a few day of camping and sight seeing.
We were fortunate enough to spend Veteran’s Day around the river. Before before sunrise I hiked up to a popular lookout and spent a few personal minutes remembering the service men and women who served before, with and after me.
The rest of the weekend was simply icing on the cake.
